Twende Mbele marks 10 years of peer learning and evaluation across Africa
01 May 2026—Twende Mbele Secretariat
On its tenth anniversary, the partnership reflects on a decade of African government-led monitoring and evaluation cooperation, and announces four new member countries.
Twende Mbele was founded in 2016 by the Governments of Benin, South Africa and Uganda, with the support of partners across Africa, to strengthen national M&E systems through peer learning. A decade on, the partnership has grown to include Ghana, Kenya, Niger, and welcomes Côte d'Ivoire, Malawi, Nigeria and Tanzania as new members.
